Spring Festival

Basant is celebrated in spring with zeal and zest.with the spring season basant is enjoyed as a colorful festival.on the mid of every feburary people enjoyed it by flying kites.on basant morning it starts with colorful kites and ends with joyful evening.Although this festival belongs to the hindu culture but with time going on muslims of the subcontinent going to celebrate it as a festival.

So on every Basant peoples tradionally fly kites on the roof of their buliding.people celebrate it by wearing yellow dresses that demonstartes the color of joy & happiness.all the day people enjoy themselves by saying 'BOO KATA' whenever they cut other kites on the sky.in the night special functions are arranged for its celebrations i.e barbeque dishes are mostly made.Now Lahore is becoming the main focal point for the celebration of this festival in Pakistan.lahori enjoyed alot on basant night and morning,they spent all the night in flying kites in the sky.
